This photoblog is hosted by Host Europe on a LAMP webserver and powered by the wonderful publishing platform WordPress, which I have extended by a few nice plugins like WP Post Thumbnail, Smarter Navigation and Google XML Sitemaps.
For theme development and website maintenance I have been using TextMate and Transmit on a nice Apple Mac. Because photographs are the main contents on this site, I went for a basically simple blog design and concentrated on typography, CSS and performance. However, despite additional filesize and HTTP requests, I couldn’t resist to spice up my photoblog with a little bit of jQuery and a few icons from icondock.
